Word and Web Wiz: ABOUT US

“Word and Web Wiz” came into existence for one reason and one reason alone.

Just over a decade ago, many of the wonderful people that I had successfully served as a professional writer and personal guide through the various quicksand and quagmires of business marketing, advertising and promotions (via newspaper, magazine, direct mail, radio, press releases, cable, TV, newsletters, articles, etc.) were suddenly requesting help with developing a cost effective, productive online presence.

This was a much needed “wake-up call” to a most amazing opportunity sitting right before my eyes. I did my research and quickly realized that if I committed myself to seriously studying every possible angle of this increasingly popular “portal to the people,” I could not only make my client’s lives a lot better and happier, but in the process, my own as well!

I was already becoming frustrated, “burned out,” and disenchanted working within the caustic constraints of the overly compartmentalized, problematically redundant, high pressure, hyper-sterile, corporate environment. When everyone, from top to bottom, has their own secret agenda to push, the constant, confusing cacophony of calloused and covertly competitive conglomerate committees can, with time, simply become more than a sensible human being is willing to continuously stomach.

Where decisions take several weeks to be made and then get changed ten times while you’re walking to your desk, my gig started feeling more like trying to steer the Titanic. I began to miss the personal, informal, “one on one” business meetings of intelligent, informed, and insightful, entrepreneurs making quick decisions and successfully implementing them, without the rigid constraints of politically postured “group think” or “sectarian second guessing” of each and every single step.

“The web” was my escape hatch back to reality. Holding strongly to long honored convictions, deeply revered “foundational” beliefs and reliable, respected principals, I positioned myself to use many of the same time-tested strategies, concepts, ideas, and theories that had worked so well for me with “Big Clients” like McDonald’s, Chevrolet, Burger King, Toyota, Salem Communications, etc., now applying them to the process of effectively developing and growing client’s smaller sized businesses.

No longer stuck in that “mega-maze” of corporate consciousness, I’m happily back where I love to be, working “one to one” with the owners / decision makers of some really cool, uniquely original, independent organizations. Nothing beats REAL work, done in a “team spirited” manner, alongside REAL people, successfully building and achieving dreams and goals at the “Speed Of Business!”
